Natural Stone Restoration

Mold RemediationNatural stones, such as marble, limestone, granite, travertine, etc., are the premiere choices for flooring, countertop and bathroom décor. As such, they deserve and need premium care. It is our goal to provide stone service above and beyond anyone else in the Nashville area. At our office, we have installed a 120 foot training center for our employees to work and practice on natural stone. It is comprised of light and dark granite, light and dark marble, and filled and unfilled travertine. This facility allows for us to get on-site, hands-on training on grinding stone to alleviate etching, discoloration and lippage, which is the unevenness of the natural stone tiles; as well as honing and polishing to remove any scratches that the natural stone incurs. It is a place for us to perfect mending cracks, floating grout and filling the unfilled travertine. We have also installed countertops made of granite. We have done all of these things so that when we come to your home or business you do not have to worry whether or not your stone is our training facility.

  • Each job will be began with our testing process in order for us to be certain of how best to work with your stone.
  • If necessary, we will use our de-lippage tool to grind your floor to the even surface it was meant to be.
  • At this point, any holes, cracks or grout lines that have deteriorated would be filled or repaired before doing any further work with the stone itself.
  • The next step in our process is to use our different metal-bonded diamond grinding bits to remove the remaining lippage and to begin removing any scratches, etch marks or evening the natural wear of the stone.
  • Then our resin-bonded diamond grinding bits will be implemented in order to hone and finally polish out the stone in order to ensure as close to a factory finish as possible.
  • Finally, after the last of the diamond bits are used, we will then either apply a polishing powder or an impregnator/sealer depending on the customer’s preference

** Note each stone is different and therefore each job is different. Not all stone jobs require every step.
